FARZAD HEMATI, TRANSLATOR
Farzad immigrated to the United States from Iran in 1986 and lives with his family in Southern California. When not engaged in engineering design and software development, he reads books on mythology and astrophysics, plays music, participates in social justice and humanitarian causes, and translates poetry and short fiction from English and Italian into Persian. For A Girl Named Mithra, Farzad masterfully translated the English verse to Persian verse, keeping both the meaning and rhyme scheme of the original.
